Shannon Sankar
Shannon Sankar is the co-owner of a small marketing firm for which she works as a graphic artist. Despite an ever-growing list of to-dos on the job and the hectic daily schedule that accompanies life with an elementary school-aged son, Shannon dedicates time each week to her fitness training.
As a self-described unathletic and uncoordinated child, Shannon did not participate in organized sports and dreaded P.E. Class. It wasn’t until reaching her upper twenties that she decided to gain strength, lose body fat, and develop cardiovascular endurance to get healthier. She started by walking briskly on the treadmill at a 10-15% incline.
In time, walking on the treadmill transitioned into jogging – which soon led to light running.
Today, Shannon is a bonafide runner who has competed in 5K and Half-Marathon events and completes runs on a near-daily basis. Currently, her workout schedule includes a mixture of running, strength-training, high-intensity cardio, and – whenever possible, yoga.
She especially enjoys the Treadmill Trainer running series and is seeking to gain speed and endurance through the programs’ interval running challenges.
Shannon lives in Stuarts Draft, Virginia, with her husband, son, and two cats.

Rachel Holmes
My name is Rachel. I am on the left, that’s my son on my right. I’m 48 years old.
I have been exercising on and off for about 5 years. I run 2 5K’s a year, averaging about 32 minute races.
About 5 years ago, I lost 35 lbs by exercising and watching what I eat. I have since gained it back. I was soooo into exercising, obsessed with it. Then I got lax in my workouts and after 3 years gained it all back again. I needed a motivational boost, so I started looking around for treadmill workouts for MP3 players. I do better with instructions than doing things on my own.
I came across Yuri Elkaim’s Treadmill Trainer workouts and decided to give them a try. I ordered volume 2 and loved it. I feel great after I’ve done that workout. I have since ordered the intermediate and advanced for Treadmill Trainer 2.
I have not lost any weight yet, but my motivation is back and I feel great!
I try to do one of the treadmill trainers 3 times a week, and this week I started strength training every other day. I feel better and different even after only 1 week!

Josephine Fahy
Josephine Fahy is 37, lives in New Zealand, and works as a Web Editor at a local university. She loves running, swimming, cycling and hiking, and tries to find as much time as possible to fit training into a busy life with her two daughters.
Despite lacking any natural athletic talent she persists in trying to beat her own personal bests and reach her goals – even if that means hobbling in at the back of the pack!
She has found exercise a wonderful way to battle fatigue and anxiety as she has got older, keeping herself positive and discovering a whole world of opportunity for fun. Five years ago she began finding a way to build up her health after battling an illness, starting with a simple two-minute session on a cross-trainer every day. Since then she has started running, cycling and swimming regularly, building up slowly and consistently every year.
Working full-time and having two kiddies at home has meant relying on her treadmill for a large part of her training, and she was thrilled to find the Treadmill Trainer series to liven up her training and push her to perform better. While being able to plod along for hours, relying on her stubbornness, she wants to lift things up a notch and start working on her speed and strength, using a combination of the Strength and Conditioning for Runners system and the Treadmill Trainer workouts.

Lidia Romeu
My name is Lidia, I was born in Buenos Aires (Argentina) on October 3, 1960.
I got married when I was only 20 years old and had a beautiful “baby girl” (now 29) who gave birth to my joyful grandson (now 5). That makes me the most proud grandma who will be 50 in a month or so.
On 2002 I remarried and moved to Grande Prairie (Northern Alberta – Canada). I had never seen snow in Buenos Aires and all of the sudden, my reality changed to winters lasting 6 months and temperatures going all the way down to 30 below.
Only 3 months after arriving in Canada, I had a “golf” accident that ended up with a broken pelvis, 10 days in the hospital and 2 months before I could walk.
I’ve always been pretty fit but I thought I would never be able to train again.
In 2007, I had my mind set on training again, loosing a few extra pounds, lowering my blood pressure and making my injured leg stronger and stronger.
As my leg was really bothering me, I started power walk training on my treadmill with lots of inclinations. I reinforced my endurance walking from the house to the office (2.5 Kms) during winter (with temperatures of 15 below) and heavy snow.
Nowadays I am following all the sets of Treadmill Trainer Level 2. At the same time I train my mind with “Focus Trainer” and meditation. I am a vegan and enjoy the “sun” energy.
Life is all about loving others, loving yourself, loving what you do, the challenges found and overcoming every single obstacle learning as much as we can and having fun every day.
I will be 50 soon, and I thank God for that…

Lynnette Stork
I live on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. I am currently about 80lbs overweight and have started using my previous interest in running to get myself back in shape.
Using Treadmill Trainer I’ve been successfully building up my running times without falling into my normal pattern of injuring myself and then having to take time off to recover before I repeat the process again.
I walked the Royal Victoria Marathon last year with my husband and we finished it in just over 7hrs.
I’ve entered the marathon again this year and I’m hoping to be able to take 30-60 minutes off my time from last year. I’m into my 3rd week of treadmill trainer and I’m now believing that I will be able achieve my time goal.

Matt Schlessiger
I am 34 years old and live in San Antonio , TX , that’s me on the right… I am an Escrow Officer for a Title and spend most of my day sitting at a desk. So over the years I have gained some weight. I say some but one day I woke up and was almost 220 pounds.
I have never been into working out especially cardio or running. Well last year I had a reality check. My cousin, only two years older than me had a heart attack. He pulled through and is doing great now, but that really made me look at how I was living my life and what kind of an example I was giving my kids.
I decided that it was time to do something about my health and that is exactly what I did. I started eating right and strength training and even signed up for a 5k race just for some added motivation.
Well let me say that I could not run for more than a couple of minutes when I first started and that was very frustrating to me. I kept at it and now I can run for much longer and have started training for a 10k. The Treadmill Trainer programs are wonderful and I plan on using them for a long time to come. Who knows maybe at some point I will be able to run a full marathon. But for now I am taking it day by day. I am on the road to a much healthier and active life and have even had to get some new clothes because my old ones are just way too big now.

Rebekah Gregory
Rebekah Gregory, 51 years old, is the Business Mgr and Publicist for technology author, Peter H. Gregory. She works her dream job from home, but was discouraged with what a desk job was doing to her body, so she bought a treadmill and placed it six feet from her office door.
Rebekah also joined a diet group the same year she purchased her treadmill. She strictly followed the dietary guidelines, consuming an average of 1200 calories per day, for nine months. Everyone else lost more weight than she did which discouraged her further.
Despite not being athletic, or being interested in running, Rebekah decided to try something different by purchasing the Treadmill Trainer. At the time this bio was written she was on Week 2; very much a beginner, but already noticing an increase in her endurance.
Rebekah hopes to become more fit by gaining muscle mass and losing body fat and to finally find the key that will unlock her potential for optimum health.
