Hill training is a must if you want to seriously shatter some records. You'll be laughing when you come back to running on a level surface after this workout. Your body wil simply float through it's stride and running will become that much easier and pleasurable for you!

And how often are running courses always flat when you run outside? Almost never! Therefore, to get the best possible results, it's important to train your body to excel at running up hills.

All of the Treadmill Trainer™ iPod/MP3 running workouts you just read about are designed for treadmill and outdoor use.

Hill Runner 1 and 2 are specifically designed to be enjoyed on the treadmill ONLY. Usually, runing a constant incline is near impossible in an outdoor setting. That's why these leg-pumping hill workouts are best for the treadmill.

If you enjoy running hills, then you will absolutely love this workout. I personally love running hills and inclines because they are - by far - the best way to improve your running performance, aerobic endurance, running power, and one of the most effective means of burning calories.

In Hill Runner 1 you'll spend your workout running at a constant 4% incline. At this this grade you will be guided through 3 different hill challenges with varying interval components.

I won't lie to you...this workout is tough and is therefore recommended for intermediate and advanced runners.

But what's nice is that since each hill challenge lasts anywhere from 20 to 26 minutes this workout can be considered like having 3 workouts in 1. Therefore, you can stop or continue at any point of the run!
