What makes this interval run a challenge for even the fittest of runners is the fact that in the final section of the workout we begin increasing the speed of the recovery intervals!
I could explain what that feels like but you just have to experience this workout for yourself to really grasp the difference adjusting the recovery intervals will make for you.
Imagine running faster each work interval, but instead of slowing down to recover, your recovery intervals continue to increase in speed. Essentially, your recovery bouts are still work bouts! Thankfully, you'll have me on your headphones to keep you going strong right to the end.
It's an amazing test of your aerobic and anaerobic fitness, and, maybe more importantly, your mental toughness.
